David started his own business in 1996, after completing a four year apprenticeship in Cabinet Making. He also represented the UK at the International Skill Olympics ‘93, which was held in Taiwan where he competed against countries from around the world. David narrowly missed the bronze medal, and was awarded a Diploma of Excellence in the Cabinet Making category.

David manages the business independently, from the selection of locally grown trees to the finished piece. He can work to specific commissions or design made-to-measure furniture, fitted or free standing.

The furniture is hand finished with oil and wax using traditional methods and can be stained to the customer’s exact requirements.

David is planning to move the workshop to the South of England, and is currently doing Property Maintenance in Bournemouth.
